ASMCH diagnostic and imaging needs are met by the Radiology Department, which operates radiology centers within our hospitals. Our specialized radiologists and highly trained healthcare professionals work as a cohesive team to provide interpretive diagnostic imaging reports and opinions to assist the doctor in making the best decisions to manage treatment. Depending on the symptoms, the doctors advise tests that aid in the diagnosis of the patients’ condition. These tests can be conducted using various imaging technologies like x-ray, computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, bone mineral densitometry (BMD), angiography, nuclear medicine and positron emission tomography (PET), and can include non-invasive cardiac tests like electrocardiogram (ECG) and echocardiogram. Radiology center can also be critical for the health screening process, where imaging technology is used to detect medical conditions that do not cause symptoms.
